Server and automation
BergOS runs on our own server at Hetzner. We operate the workflows (n8n) ourselves, not in someone else's cloud.
Database
Enquiries and drafts are stored with Supabase in Frankfurt. Every company sees only its own data.
AI model
Understanding text and writing drafts is handled by an OpenAI model via the API. The content of the respective email is transmitted there for this purpose.

Open about limits
An approval only protects if it is really reviewed. Reviewing takes time, and people quickly follow suggestions too uncritically. We talk about this openly instead of keeping quiet about it.
This approval goes beyond what the law requires. Under the EU AI Act, human oversight is only mandatory for high-risk systems, which an email agent like BergOS is not. We make it our standard anyway.
